When increase the load onto tensile strength machine, the indicator shakes, runs or stops:
1. Gear abrasion to clutch: need maintenance or replacement;
2. Abrasion to rubber ring or spring of friction plate: needs replacement of rubber ring or spring;
3. Operating handle displacement: adjusting operating handle and make it to match with gear groove;
The indicator does not return back to 0 position when replace the pendulum;
1. Tensile strength machine is installed out of level: the level gauge shall be used to adjust the leveling of
tensile strength machine;
2. Pendulum is not at vertical position: only pendulum A is loaded; adjust the balance pendulum so as to make
it vertical;
The pendulum bob of tensile strength machine returns back to starting position too fast or slowly:
1. Buffer valve is not properly placed: adjust the buffer valve to proper position;
2. Too low or high viscosity of hydraulic oil, the pendulum returns back faster if the viscosity is low and slow if
the viscosity is high. The hydraulic oil with more proper viscosity shall be replaced;
3. The dirt exists inside the buffer valve and oil pipes or the hydraulic oil has dirt formed: flush the buffer valve
and oil pipe. Replace the hydraulic oil;
Indicator of tensile strength machine returns back abnormally slowly or is facing unstable
condition:
1. The bearing of indicator and the main bearing has rust or oil dirt formed: clean them or replace the bearing;
2. Gear rod is deformed or the rod and gear are not engaged: calibrate the gear rod, or clean and maintain
those driving parts such as the bearing, sheave and so on;
3. Dirt accumulates inside buffer valve: clean the buffer valve;
Tensile strength machine displays positive deviation:
1. Short-arm blade is loosen: tighten the blade;
2. Pendulum is relatively light in weight: add more weight for pendulum (the weight of pendulum ABC shall be
equally considered.)
Driven indicator does not run smoothly or displaces:
1. The elastic force of driven indicator is too small or the friction between driven indicator and indicating dial is
too small: adjust the elastic force of driven indicator or adjust the gap between driven indicator and indicating
dial;
2. Both ends of driven indicator have deviation in weight: adjust the weight of both ends so to reach balance.
The reading displays negative deviation mainly due to too high friction among the parts:
1. Indicator bearing, bearing of pendulum shaft and driving parts to measure the force have too high friction:
adjust and clean the bearing and the driving parts of which are used to measure the force and eliminate the
abnormal friction;
2. The upper chuck and the spring of driven indicator are loosen or the friction with drawing apparatus is too
big: adjust the tightness of upper chuck, the spring of driven indicator and the drawing apparatus so as to
eliminate the abnormal friction;
3. Link of piston rod and pendulum rod is not flexible: adjust the link of both parts and make it flexible;
Display Disordered Deviation:
1. The gear rod and gear have dirt, abrasion or burr: eliminate the oil dirt or burr on the gear rod and gear,
find out the contact point of gear rod that causes deviation and adjust the gear rod and gear; if the deviation
cannot be eliminated, the gear rod and gear shall be replaced;
2. The tensile strength testing machine is installed out of level: adjust the leveling;
3. Gear rod is crooked: calibrate or replace the gear rod, adjust the gap of rolling sheave;
